The DII is proud to be the host organization for this year’s overdose awareness day. The event will be a block party held in at Slack Plaza in downtown Charleston on August 26 from 5-8 pm.
There will be live music, food trucks, activities for kids, and speakers sharing their stories of hope. We will remember those we’ve lost while celebrating recovery and hope. Awards will be given at the event for the peer recovery specialist and ally/advocate who goes about and beyond for the recovery community.
