Bassett joins ONEbox initiative

WVDII

Bassett Healthcare Network’s Population Health Office has joined with more than 20 other Oneonta community organizations in the ONEbox program, organized by the Oneonta Narcan Initiative Team.

ONEboxes “empower ordinary bystanders to become lifesavers in the event of a drug overdose emergency,” a Bassett media release said. The boxes dispense naloxone, also known as Narcan, a medication that can quickly counteract opioids in someone experiencing an opioid overdose.
